What type of vehicles are available?
We offer a wide range of vehicles, including 4x4 SUVs, pickups, vans, and more. For long-term leasing, we can also purchase your preferred vehicle and then lease this onwards to you.
Where are your rental locations?
We are based in Nairobi and Nanyuki but offer delivery to almost any location in Kenya - just input your preferred location when booking online.
Can I pick up the vehicle at one location and return it to another?
Yes, this is possible for a fee. Please input your start and end locations when making your reservation online.

Do you require a deposit for self-drive hires?
Yes, as is standard worldwide - a refundable deposit is required. The amount ranges between KES 50,000 and KES 150,000, depending on the vehicle category chosen.
How long does it take to receive a refund of the deposit?
Once the vehicle is returned and no damages are assessed, we process your deposit refund immediately. Typically, the refund reflects on your end within minutes, but if it was paid by card it may take up to 48 hours.
Bookings & Reservations
How do I make a booking?
Click on any ‘Book Now’ button and select the type of Service and Vehicle you would like to reserve.
Fill out the relevant booking form and submit.
A member of our team will review your booking request asap and you will receive an email confirmation once your booking has been accepted.
How can I secure my booking?
Your booking is only completed once a 25% booking deposit is paid (instructions will be included in the booking confirmation email).
Can I modify a reservation?
Yes, we will do our best to accommodate modifications to your booking. Please contact us as soon as possible.
What is your cancellation policy?
The booking deposit is non-refundable but can be used against a future booking.
When do I need to pay the balance?
The remaining 75% AND if applicable the refundable self-drive deposit are due on day 1 of your rental. Failure to pay will result in the cancellation of your booking.
Pricing & Payment
How is my price determined?
Prices depend on several factors e.g. rental duration, travel areas, season (peak or off-peak), etc.
Our website automatically adjusts for these factors during online booking and shows you the best available price.
In extremely rare cases, we may need to modify the price that was displayed on the website – in such an instance you will have the opportunity to either accept or decline the modification before making any payment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We directly accept payments via Bank Transfer, MPESA.
We also accept all major Credit and Debit cards via PesaPal (3% transaction fee) either Online or at our Branches.
Do you offer discounts?
Discounts are automatically applied when booking online. We do not offer additional discounts upon request.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, our pricing is transparent.
What currencies do you accept?
Our invoices are issued in KES. However, our bank and card payments providers accept and automatically convert most foreign currencies to KES at the latest exchange rate.
Vehicle Information
Are your vehicles insured?
Yes, all of our vehicles are insured for car hire use, including cover for passengers and third parties (within policy limits).
Please note:
- In Kenya, the person driving is not covered under the vehicle's insurance and so we strongly recommend that all Drivers (and passengers) have personal accident / travel insurance cover from their home country.
- For additional peace of mind, you may also consider SafeTravels by Rescue.co which provides medical cover, roadside assistance and air evacuation etc for 30 days at KES 3,300/person.
What excess is payable in the event of a claim?
The maximum excess is usually equivalent to the refundable deposit that we hold.
If insurance is invalidated by a breach of terms, you'll be liable for all resultant damages.
If the damage incurred is less than the excess to make an insurance claim, we will simply deduct the cost of repair from your deposit.
Can I choose a specific vehicle?
While you can request a specific vehicle, it is subject to availability. If unavailable, we will provide a similar vehicle from the same category.
Are you able to track the location of vehicles?
Yes, for your safety, all vehicles are equipped with tracking devices.
What should I do if the car breaks down?
If the vehicle breaks down, pull over safely and call our 24/7 hotline at +254721177642.
We’ll quickly arrange for repairs or a replacement like-for-like vehicle to be supplied.
What should I do if I have a flat tyre?
All our vehicles come with a spare tyre(s) and tools. In a scenario where you have a flat tyre you are expected to securely install the spare tyre and have the flat tyre repaired as soon as possible.
Can we travel outside of Kenya?
No, cross-border travel is not allowed with our vehicles.
Driver Information
What documents do I need to rent a car?
A valid driver’s license and a photo ID (e.g., passport or national ID card) are required.
Age limits?
Renters must be between 23 and 70 years old.
Special exemptions can be made for drivers aged 21 or 22 with a surcharge - please fill in one of our booking forms for a personalised quotation.
Do I need an international driving license to drive in Kenya?
If you have a valid foreign license in English, you can drive with this for up to 3 months from your date of arrival in Kenya. If the license is not in English or you’ve stayed for more than 3 months, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required. IDPs can be obtained from your home country or AA Kenya.
Who can drive the vehicle?
Only the person(s) declared as drivers, with copies of their valid driver’s license and photo ID provided, are permitted to drive the vehicle. There is no additional fee for extra drivers.
Other Information
How many kilometers are included?
We offer a generous mileage allowance of 250 kms per day – calculated cumulatively for your total trip, e.g. 5 days = 1,250kms allowance.
If you drive beyond this, excess mileage will be charged at KES 50 per km.
Long term rentals will have mileage allowances separately agreed.
Do I need to fuel the car?
The vehicle is provided to you with a full tank, and it should similarly be returned with a full tank. As such, you only pay for the fuel you actually use.
Do we need to clean the car before returning it?
You can clean the car before returning it, or we can do it for a fee of KES 1,500.
